“Byrd Amendment” Repeal Now the Law of the Land

In a formal ceremony held in the East Room of the White House yesterday afternoon, President Bush signed into law the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, which includes the “Byrd Amendment” repeal provision.
After a long and hard battle in which AFI was an integral soldier, the repeal provision is now the law of the land.
