President Signs Law Reducing Duties on Artichokes
Effective December 19, 2004.

Monday, December 6, 2004

The president signed the Miscellaneous Tariff Bill Friday, which included AFI’s request to reduce duties on processed artichoke products. As of December 19, the following duty results will apply:

HTS# 2001.9025 will decrease from 10.2% to 7.3%.

HTS# 2005.90.80 will decrease from 14.9% to 13.8%.

Based on typical levels of imports, this effort by AFI will result in duty savings of approximately $1 million per year.
