An antidumping petition on certain orange juice from Brazil was filed on December 27. The petitioners are Florida Citrus Mutual; Citrus Belle; Citrus World, Inc.; Peace River Citrus Products, Inc.; and Southern Gardens.
The product covered by the petition is certain orange juice for transport and/or further manufacturing, produced in two different forms: (1) frozen orange juice in a highly concentrated form, sometimes referred to as frozen concentrated orange juice for further manufacturing (FCOJM); and (2) pasteurized single-strength orange juice that has not been concentrated, referred to as not-from-concentrate (NFC). Petitioners have alleged dumping margins of 77.7% percent for NFC and 37.3 percent for FCOJM.
The petition excludes FCOJM produced by companies covered by the antidumping order on FCOJ from Brazil and reconstituted orange juice and frozen orange juice for retail (FCOJR) from Brazil.
Commerce has 20 to 40 days from the date the petition is filed to decide whether to initiate an investigation. The ITC will, however, immediately institute a preliminary injury investigation
