Pasta from Italy - Preliminary Results and Partial Rescission of Ninth Administrative Review of AD Duty
For the period July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005.

Tuesday, August 8, 2006

Commerce has issued preliminary results in its administrative review of the antidumping duty order on pasta from Italy covering the period July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005. The rates were set as follows:

Company -- Rate

Atar -- 18.48

Corticella/Combattenti -- 3.32

Commerce rescinded the review of Barilla G.e.R. Fratelli, S.p.A./Barilla Alimentare, S.p.A. (Barilla), Moline e Pastificio Tomasello S.r.L. (Tomasello) and Pastificio Laporta S.a.s. (Laporta) because the requests for review were withdrawn.

Commerce also preliminarily rescinded the review with respect to Italpasta/Pasta Berruto S.p.A. (Italpasta) because Italpasta had no shipments of the subject merchandise during the period of review.

Commerce has also rescinded the review with respect to Pastificio Antonio Pallante S.r.L./Industrie Alimentari Molisane, S.r.L./Vitelli Foods, LLC (Pallante) because since the initiation of the current review, Commerce has revoked the order in part with respect to Pallante.

The all-other rate was not reviewed and remains 11.26 percent.

The preliminary determinations in administrative reviews have no effect on duty deposits. Any change in duty deposits must wait until final determinations, due in November.
