Pistachios from Iran - Final Results on CVD Review
For the period January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004

Friday, June 30, 2006

Commerce issued final results of its countervailing review on in-shell pistachios from Iran for the period of January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004. The final results remain the same as the preliminary results as follows:

Because Nima and the Government of Iran failed to cooperate, Commerce applied the use of “adverse facts available.” Commerce calculated the individual subsidy rate for Nima Trading, the only exporter subject to this review, at 71.10 percent ad valorem.

The cash deposit rate for subject merchandise exported by Nima will be 71.10 percent ad valorem. The “all other” rate from the final determination in the original investigation remains 99.52 percent.
