Senate Joins House to Approve ATPA Extension
Provided by Jeff Levin - Saul Ewing LLP

Friday, February 29, 2008

The U.S. Senate approved by unanimous consent the 10-months extension of the Andean Trade Preferences Act (ATPA), previously approved by the House this past Wednesday. The bill has been sent to the President, who will sign it today into law.

As a result, this preference program will continue, without interruption and for all four beneficiary countries, until December 31, 2008.
