Seafood COOL
On October 30, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will publish a proposed rule to implement a mandatory country-of-origin labeling program for certain beef, pork, lamb, fish, shellfish, peanut, fruit and vegetable products.

Voluntary Country-of-Origin Labeling Legislation Introduced: Legislation was recently introduced that would repeal the mandatory country-of-origin labeling law scheduled to go into effect Sept. 30 for seafood products and replace it with a voluntary program.
