Peach production is far less concentrated in Greece than in the United States: Greek cling peach production in 2009/10 is estimated at 450,000 metric tons (MT), up from the approximately 420,000 metric tons produced last year, noted FAS. An estimated 280,000 MT of the 2009/10 crop was harvested and sold to processors. Approximately 160,000 MT will be used for canning.
